Who We Are

Home Hospitality Grenada is a family-owned and operated Agro-Tourism company. We facilitate Authentic Home Cooked Experiences centered around century-old traditions and seasonal eating. Our tours are designed to expose customers to Grenadian culture and traditions through our various offerings.

Our Home and Homestead are nestled into the foothills of the Grand Etang Mountains. We are a short 20-minute drive from the popular Grand Anse area, and only a 10-minute drive from the Town of St. George’s and the Cruise Ship terminal. Although close to the town, Home Hospitality’s lush environment creates an immediate connection with nature and provides a relaxed yet exciting environment to enjoy Authentic Culinary Experiences.

Our hope is that guests, both domestic and foreign, leave our Home feeling nourished and fulfilled having connected with and learned about Grenadian culture through food, friends and family.

Our Vision

To highlight the authentic aspects of Grenada and its culture through Organisational Excellence, Environmental sustainability, and Community Development.

Our Mission

To be recognised as the preferred and premium local resource for authentic Grenadian culture, Culinary experiences, and organic food products for domestic and foreign consumers.

The Roberts Family

Home Hospitality Grenada is the passion legacy project of Chef Kennedy Roberts, from the small island of Petite Martinique and his wife Nikoyan Roberts, born in Jamaica but who came to Grenada as a baby and grew up here. Kennedy Roberts started cooking at the tender age of 9. As number 9 of 10 children, he worked hard as part of a team to ensure that the entire family, and the children that boarded with them, were fed, clean and happy. Nikoyan grew up on the lively and vibrant ‘Wharf’ in St. George’s town – now known as ‘The Carenage’. She was an avid reader with a vivid imagination. She always had a passion and knack for performing, entertaining, organizing and getting things done.

The two lovebirds met in college. They were both members of the inaugural class of IFE. Known today as T.A. Marryshow Community College. Although they pursued Degrees in different countries – they found themselves back together in Grenada and got married. Shortly after they welcomed their son David, followed by their daughter, Ariel.

As a young man, after graduating with his Master’s Degree in Public Health – Kennedy shared his gift of cooking delicious food with friends and family by running a small catering business. This helped to sustain his young family while he looked for a more permanent job that would compliment his newly earned Degree. Nikoyan spent 10 years in customer service – receiving many awards for her quick thinking and permanently pleasant demeanour. She left Customer Service to gain her Master’s Degree in Tourism and Hospitality and followed it up with another Master’s Degree in Business Administration. After completing her first Master’s Degree she entered the Hospitality Industry and has not left since. Although she is still employed full time by the Grenada Tourism Authority – she still finds a way to dedicate herself in any way she can to the operation of Home Hospitality Grenada.

After 23 years as a University Professor – Kennedy longed for more. Over the years, Ken and Niki welcomed hundreds of friends, colleagues, close family, distant family, strangers and more into their home to share a meal. Whether it was a formal meeting to share ideas and plan, a family Christmas celebration or an impromptu lime – they were always up for facilitating the good times. Many guests who passed through the house always said – “Kennedy! Your food is so delicious – You should start a business.” After a couple hundred times, they began to think – “Maybe we can actually do this?”

It has been almost 10 years since the Roberts Family started seriously discussing Home Hospitality Grenada as the ideal way for them to spend their days. What a dream and blessing it would be to spend our days doing what we love, making people happy and sharing the beautiful and rich Grenadian culture – and the history of the Roberts family – through food, farming and century old traditions.

A large component of Home Hospitality Grenada is to uplift the community, and country, in which we operate. We do this by integrating as many of the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals into the running and operation of our business as possible.

After years of hard work – starting in 2017. We are so pleased to have gotten to the point where we can share this passion project with you – our customer. Turning our passion into our livelihood. What a blessing.

We look forward to welcoming you into our Home to share authentic Grenadian Hospitality and Spice through our various services.

With Kindness and Gratitude,

Kennedy, Nikoyan, David and Ariel.
